Darrell L. McNair, Secretary/Fiscal Officer

Darrell McNair was appointed to the Board of Directors by the Mayor of the City of Cleveland in 2016, and reappointed in 2018.  He served as Board Chair from March, 2017 – March 2019.

Darrell McNair is President/CEO of MVP Plastics Corporation, a custom injection molder, servicing the automotive, medical, and industrial markets. Darrell’s professional achievements included marketing and finance positions at IBM and Ford respectively and entrepreneurial ventures ranging from medical supply, home health care services, construction and retail. Darrell received his Bachelors degree from Kent State University and his Masters of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University. He has a passion for working with small businesses and mentoring young African American males. Darrell has established Real Life 101 scholarship programs at two area high schools – East Technical High School, Warrensville Heights High School and a scholarship in honor of his father at Akron East High School. Under Darrell’s leadership as Chairman of the Cleveland based Presidents Council, the premier African American Business Economic Development organization, he created strategic partnerships with corporate and government entities whereby enhancing growth and wealth creation opportunities for the minority business community. Darrell’s current and former affiliations include: Chairman of the Presidents Council, Board Northern Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (NOMSDC), Playhouse Square Foundation, Great Lakes Science Center, University Hospital Geauga Medical Center, Kent State University Geauga Campus, Cleveland Sports Commission, MAGNET, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Superintendent Search Committee.
