The Real Estate Group is in the business of developing real estate development strategies and initiatives that maximize the use of Port owned real estate assets through the development of public and private partnerships. The objective is to work in collaboration with the public, private and non-profit sectors in formulating and implementing plans for redevelopment based on identified areas as indicated in the Port’s Strategic Plan.
The Real Estate’s Group goals and objectives are to serve as a guide in the development and implementation of activities & strategies which serve to:
- Maximize the use and or leverage of the Port’s real estate assets in real estate projects and transactions.
- Identify & invest in projects that build on the underutilized economic assets of Cleveland and the region.
- Engage in partnerships with stakeholders and the community in the implementation real estate activities.
- Provide a mechanism for monitoring and reporting on the progress of real estate related activities on a quarterly and yearly basis.
