Woodson is Vice President for Development Finance at the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority in Cleveland Ohio. Heading up the Port Authority’s Development Finance Group, Woodson is responsible for business development, project coordination and programs management. By fostering public-private partnerships the Authority has assisted area businesses in obtaining more than $1.8 billion of financing for project throughout Northeast Ohio since 1993.
Woodson has been involved in economic development, finance, business management, sales and business consulting since 1980. He has held sales and management positions in retail & commercial banking with National City Bank, Huntington National Bank and U.S. Bank. Woodson has also served as an economic development officer with the City of Cleveland’s Department of Economic Development and with Cuyahoga County’s Department of Development. Additionally, Woodson coordinated community and economic Development with Neighborhood Progress Inc. for Buckeye Area Development Corporation, Larchmere Development Association and Friends of Shaker Square-all in Cleveland.
Woodson has worked extensively on numerous high-profile projects in and around Northeast Ohio, including Nautica in the Flats, the Flats East Bank Development, the Cleveland Cavaliers – Cleveland Clinic Courts Player Development Facility, Eaton Corporation Headquarters, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
Woodson is a native of Cleveland, and a graduate of the University of Toledo ’80 (Toledo, Ohio), with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He majored in marketing/sales and minored in accounting.
