LEGAL NOTICE

Bids submitted for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority (Cleveland, Ohio) 2011 Railroad/Road Infrastructure Improvement Project have been rejected. Bid documents are being modified to eliminate the road portion of the project. The revised package will be available beginning December 24, 2011 through SE Blueprint. Bids will be due January 12, 2012. See the “portofcleveland.com” website under “Business Opportunities” for additional information.


 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Directors that Sealed Bids will be received by the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority for:

2012 RAILROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (formerly the 2011 RAILROAD/ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT)

The successful Bidder will be required to provide all work as described in the Project Manual, Drawings, and Issued Addendums.

Bids will be received at the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, Attention: Skip Jacobsen, 1375 East 9th Street, Suite 2300, Cleveland, Ohio 44114-1786 until 11:00AM local time on Thursday, January 12, 2012.

There will be no Pre-Bid conference. However, site visits may be requested through Matt Welsh at 216-377-1353 during the week of December 25th at the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, 101 Erieside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113.

Bid Packages (drawings and specifications) can be accessed through SE Blueprint (www.seblueprint.com) 2035 Hamilton Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114, or by calling 216-241-2250, beginning Saturday, December 24, 2011. A set of drawings and specifications is also available for review at the Port Authority’s office between 8:30AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday, beginning December 27, 2011.

THE PORT AUTHORITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, TO WAIVE ANY TECHNICALITIES, TO REQUEST ADDITIONAL BIDS AND TO OTHERWISE PROCEED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE PORT AUTHORITY.

Any Bid may be withdrawn or amended prior to the closing time for the receipt of the Bids. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE PORT AUTHORITY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED BY ANY BIDDER IN RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST FOR BIDS.

The successful Bidder will be required to enter into a contract with the Port Authority based upon the materials submitted and any mutually agreeable negotiations completed between the parties.
