Federal Marine Terminals (FMT)

Operates the Port of Cleveland’s general cargo operation on the east side of the Cuyahoga River. FMT is a subsidiary of Montreal-based Fednav Limited, and operates port terminals in the United States and Canada.

Carmeuse Lime & Stone

Operates the Port’s Cleveland Bulk Terminal, which is west of the Cuyahoga River. CBT handles iron ore and limestone that arrive by ship from other Great Lakes ports. Based in Pittsburgh, Carmeuse is part of the Global Carmeuse Group, and produces lime and limestone products.

Operates two silos at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River, where cement arrives by ship and leaves by tanker truck. Based in Nazareth, Pa., the cement company is a member of the Italcementi Group.

Leases Port property for stone that arrives by ship and is later trucked to construction sites and customers. The construction company is based in Akron.
