Stephen Pfeiffer
Stephen Pfeiffer, vice president of maritime services for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, is responsible for daily operations of the port, including facility management and development and marketing.
Before joining the agency in 1988, Pfeiffer held positions at ports in New Orleans, Philadelphia and New York. His experience includes stevedoring and terminal operations at general cargo facilities and bulk terminals.
Pfeiffer earned a degree in marine transportation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. He has a U.S. Coast Guard license as a Third Mate Unlimited Tonnage and is a commissioned ensign in the U.S. Navy.
He serves on the Marine Transportation System National Advisory Council, the board of the French American Chamber of Commerce, the American Association of Port Authorities Operations Committee and is a member of numerous local and regional maritime-related organizations.
