About the Port

The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority was established in 1968 to oversee maritime operations and improve competitiveness.  A nine-member board of directors sets the policies and procedures governing the port. The city appoints six members to the board, while the county appoints three.  Each board member serves a minimum four-year term.
